Inter’s President Massimo Moratti is clearly unhappy with Adriano’s behaviour and is ready to rip his contract into shreds. Well, maybe not literally. But that thought is fascinating!

“Cancelling the contract may be one of the solutions,” Moratti said yesterday, refuting the claim that Inter could have done something to help Adriano (like supply an endless stream of samba dancers). “We’ve done everything necessary but now the player is not guaranteeing what he is paid to do.”

Meanwhile, a club spokesman we spoke to yesterday confirmed that negotiations between Adriano’s agent are currently taking place.

“We are appraising the situation with the player’s manager and we’ll proceed with caution. We must respect the club and (Adriano’s) current situation. So we’re not in the position to say what’s going to happen yet,” he said.
