Julio Grondona, the chairman of the Argentinean football association (who looks like a cast member of GhostBusters 1, 2 and 99) has declared that Riquelme deserves a place in the Albicelestes. You may remember The Dona’s rumoured ‘tiff’ with Riquelme, and also his decision to quit the national team earlier this year.

“If Maradona says the door is open, I have to get a key. And the key is goodwill and Riquelme can think or say (what he wants). We must wait and be patient. We are all adults,” he said.

Seriously, this two just need to kiss and make up. Life is too short to be angry with each other over something as bello as football! Even if Riquelme doesn’t come back to the national team, Grondona y amigos should still arrange a tribute game in honour of him. That’s the least they could do!
