Apparently, Marcelo Lippi has declared that the Italian U-20 team are a group of nerds. How mean! “They are 10 years younger than (some of us),” smiled Del Rossi, referring to the coach’s remark. • The U-20 Selecao Joven will be going to the quarter-finals after securing a neat 3-1 win over Uruguay!! The goals were courtesy of Alex Teixeira and Alan Kardec. As usual, Douglas Costa put on a brilliant show and so did Giuliano. Unfortunately, the goalkeeper, Rafael, has been facing immense pressure after a dismal performance against Australia (where he failed to anticipate a goal).
