Julio Grondona and Pirates of the Caribbean star, Veron, presented Argentina’s 2010 World Cup jerseys yesterday. So what’s the verdict, futbolitas? D’ya like it enough to wear it? Also, Veron had to be nice when they asked him what he thought of the ongoing Bilardo-Dona rivalry.
“For me it’s not easy to be in the middle of an internal (conflict) between Diego and Bilardo because they are two people I care for,” he said. But it’s not a problem because I’ve always managed to keep on the fringe … they are two men who resolve their issues in their own way, as they see fit, and I don’t get involved.”
“There are cases of coaches with no experience in which things went very well for us (at Estudiantes), as happened with (Diego) Simeone or (Alejandro) Sabella. You just have to give them time.”
Also, check out English indie band Kasabian and their muito legal new “Football Hero” game (played to one of their songs), which takes after the really awesome Guitar Hero format…. except it’s all done futbol style. Tipos! Where can we get one of these? (thanks, Mari!)
