It’s an all-Portuguese Europa League affair tonight (quit the groaning OK, we know all the glamour is in next Saturday’s CL finale showdown but you can’t ignore these equally hardworking tipos!) As always, the Portuguese press – including A Bola (who do things like crawl into Cristiano Ronaldo’s private jet, among other things) came up with a pretty interesting “ode to Dublin” on today’s front cover. The headline translates – quite literally – to “Thirst for Glory“. Fancy a lager, lads?!!
In the meantime, if Hulk (above) wants to win his place back in the Brazilian national team, he’d better help Porto live up to their ‘favourites’ tag tonight. After defeating Sevilla and Villarreal, even their opponents Sporting Braga are a little intimidated about their encounter at the stunning Dublin Arena.
“Given what they’ve done this year, it’s natural to say Porto are very much the favourites,” said Braga coach Domingos. Vamos, jogar até o fim!
