The Women’s World Cup officially kicked off yesterday in Germany, and as per tradition, the host nation played the opening match against Canada. Natürlich, they did well and earned a 2-1 victory over their opponents! Both Kerstin Garefrekes and Celia Okoyino Da Mbabi gave them all three points they needed in Group. A total of 73,680 football fans – including the enthusiastic chica above – attended the game at Berlin’s Olympiastadion.
