If you haven’t seen Monica Ocampo’s goal for Mexico in last night’s Women’s World Cup match yet, you’re in for a treat!! Has a touch of Zizou and reminds you a little of Ronaldinho in his prime. Their match against England ended in a 1-1 draw, of course, but there’s still a lot left to play for. The USA chicas are scheduled to take on Korea DPR (North Korea) later today – so that’s a match you wouldn’t want to miss!
Of course, the other piece of news everyone is buzzing about is Fabregas to Barca. The Daily Mail (now, stop the snickering… every source must be examined objectively - JAJA!) has claimed that Barca are willing to do anything – including cutting back on their office supplies – to nail Fabregas in a £35m deal. Meanwhile, the Spanish media are obviously excited so we won’t go there.
Two things – firstly, it’s rude that nobody actually listens to the Arsenal Captain, considering the fact that he reaffirmed his place in Wenger’s side weeks ago. And secondly who can guarantee that Fabregas will actually get a starting place in Pep’s line-up? They’ve got a proven recipe for success and Fabregas getting first-team football for the entire season is not something we can imagine!
