Aaah, meninos do Brasil... we haven’t forgotten you! The U-20 Selecao got their World Cup campaign to a perfect start last night with a 3-0 victory over Austria (same result for the Argentinians). Unfortunately, three of their players had to leave the field after suffering bad injuries including Alex Sandro, Henrique and Casemiro (who actually left the pitch in tears!!) There had better be a motherly figure on the team to help with this, like the secretary of the Spanish National Team.

Unfortunately, Neymar wasn’t included in Ney Franco’s squad but here he is, showing some swag – as usual – at the World Cup Preliminary Draw last week! Santos has apparently rejected two offers from Real Madrid to buy the striker and meet his buy-out clause of £40 million. Brazilian clubs are trying to prevent other European sides from stealing their top talents away before many of them even reach 18 and Santos is clearly not going to stand for any of this.
Also, don’t you think Neymar’s youth and agility would mean he’s better off in the Premiership, where things are more fast-paced and he’ll have more opportunities to learn? Take it from the Da Silva brothers!
