SuperCopa : The Sting That Will Last & A Friendship For The Ages!

ESCANDALOSO!! It’s interesting to consider how the media has analysed the aftermath of last night’s Supercopa Extravaganza between Madrid and Barca. Fractions of the British press believe that the attention heaped onto the Portuguese coach this morning is a much welcomed one while the Madrid-based media chose to laud Barca’s performance over the bust-up. Marcelo, you can forget about frequent call-ups to the seleção Brasileira which that kind of attitude!! Isso foi nojento! (he has been included in the friendly against Ghana next month). Similarly, David Villa accidentally slapping an innocent Ozil (seriously – that man does not look capable of holding up a teaspoon!) is as pathetic as Mourinho’s disgusting eye-finger trick on Tito Vilanova.

Many teams out there tend to accuse the other of having cheating divers who love to fall down (and maybe it’s true, you can’t argue with that – not everyone wants a FIFA Fair Play Award in place of the Supercopa trophy) but deliberately fouling a player shows a lot about a player’s character. I can’t recall Fabregas ever making a personal attack on Marcelo, so that was ridiculously uncalled for. With that said, the bad blood is going to spill over the new season…

PS : Mascherano successfully calming down Higuain was probably the best thing out of the argument (the Argentineans found a solution and so should you… Dani Alves and Marcelo!)

Elsewhere, these two futbolitas showed that they still love one another despite the brawl from last night’s 3-2 win. This is truly what football should be about… smiling despite all the differences (oh, can you imagine the anguish they had to go through during the game?) Learn it from the ladies!!
