There’s something about Juan Mata which screams “Spanish Jack Wilshere!” but apart from looking a tad bit like each other (here we go with the Twin Spotting again…) there are some key differences. Mata primarily operates in the left wing while Wilshere is an attacking midfielder – but those are forward positions nonetheless – so perhaps they should meet and have a cuppa!
Anyway, the point of this really is to talk about Juan Mata’s move to Chelsea. Indeed, our friends at Valencia have finally agreed on a deal with Abramovich’s boardroom. Tragic, considering the fact Valencia had to do the same with David Silva (and look at the magic he’s doing for Citeh now!) The fee is said to be around £23 million, which should be enough for the former U-19 Spanish champion to buy a stake in Movida. We’re pretty sure he’s going to be BFFs with Fernando Torres!
“The move is now subject to the player passing a medical and agreeing personal terms.” – Valencia CF.
