Ah yes, if it isn’t the guys of Bayern Munich in their traditional Bavarian costumes! On a wet, rainy Monday yesterday, Thomas Mueller, Arjen Robben, Manuel Neuer, Philipp Lahm and co’ arrived at the training ground for the club’s annual photo shoot with a beer company. Bayern are synonymous with their beer marketing campaigns, especially since Oktoberfest is just round the corner!
Although Robben looks like he’s about to kill a polecat with that deathly stare, we’re pretty sure he enjoyed the free flow that went on inside. Except, of course, it’s just another training day and the nutritionists and coaching staff will be on standby to ensure no misdemeanors take place… here’s looking at YOU, Schweinsteiger! “Das ist genug!!”
Here are two meninas with Neymar at the Santos training ground right before he arrived at his press conference (in flip flops, no less!) yesterday. Although reports emerged linking him to a ‘final deal’ to join Real Madrid next year, he has finally denied it and will stay until the Olympics (at least) next year.
“What is certain is that I am not going to leave at the next transfer window (Europe’s transfer window in January). I am going to stay here till the centenary (of the club on April 14 2012). I am a Santos player and I am not negotiating with anyone.
“If I had my way, I would stay at Santos for a long time. I am happy here and I have no reason to leave. To be happy is what is important. Here I have my friends and family.”
