Here’s Kun Aguero and Tevez, clearly excited that the Champions League is finally upon us again! Everything about the competition – except for the name ‘Michel Platini’ – is incredibly thrilling anyway. At the top of everyone’s minds today will inevitably be the Bayern Munich-Man City Group A fixture, where we can imagine City being favourites to pull off an upset victory. Umm, hold it English press pack! Bayern have won eight out of nine of their last home Champions League games and they’re clearly not going to switch off tonight. Said Bayern coach Jupp Heynckes :
“They have an Italian coach, but still they play quite attacking football. We anticipate a tactical game on a very high level. For viewers it will very, very interesting. The type of players they have tells us how we can expect them to play –quite attacking! “
