Premier League European Football Week 9 Preview

One of the best weeks of the Premier League European football season gets underway on Saturday with five games on the slate including a matchup on ESPN 2 as Swansea City visits Wolverhampton. The big match of the week and the biggest of the season so far in Premier League sports betting takes place on Sunday as Manchester City visits Manchester United. Here is a look at all of the
games in Week 9.

Saturday, October 22nd
Swansea City at Wolverhampton (ESPN 2)
This should finally be the game that the Wolves get a win. They have not lost six straight league
games since 1984.

West Brom at Aston Villa
Whenever these two teams meet in league action it is always close as none of the 10 Premier League
matchups have been decided by more than a goal.

Sunderland at Bolton
Bolton is the only team in the league who has not yet gotten at least one point from their home
games this season.

Wigan at Newcastle United
It seems unlikely that Wigan will get a win at Newcastle considering they have not won there in their
last six trips.

Everton at Fulham
Everton has not even scored a goal in six of their last eight trips to Fulham.

Manchester City at Manchester United
With a win, Manchester United will reach the 900 point mark in all-time home matches in the
Premier League. City is at the top of the Premier League standings but to stay there they will have
to do something that they almost never do, win at Old Trafford. Manchester United manager Alex
Ferguson has said this year’s Derby is the most important one in 25 years.

Tottenham at Blackburn
This might not be a sure win for Tottenham even though they have won their last four meetings with
Blackburn. A draw seems more likely as Tottenham has drawn 99 of their 371 away games in the
league.

Chelsea at Queens Park Rangers
It seems unlikely that Queens Park Rangers can get the win here considering they have not scored
more than one goal in any of their last 12 meetings with Chelsea.
