It’s not everyday that Leo Messi walks into the room to fulfill his media duties, so all those guys in Barcelona’s press room obviously came prepared (yes, better camera lenses, extra jerseys to get signed, shoulders to rub, etc) when they heard the news! Barca are scheduled to play Czech’s Republic’s own version of Barcelona, Viktoria Plze? later tonight. These guys also have Vaclav Pilar who has been declared Messi’s “twin” because they have a similar looks playing style (although Vaclav looks more like Thomas Muller & Arshavin’s love child, if they do have one in the future.. kkkk!) Of course, Messi proved yet again why it’s so hard to dislike him :
“I am not really interested in winning individual awards and prizes: I want team titles, more and more. Prizes shouldn’t be just for me, but for all the players – we play as a team; we win as a team.”
Anyway, Barcelona’s newly revamped La Masia academy will be officially unveiled tomorrow (Thursday, October 20, 19:30 Spain time) in a groundbreaking new initiative by the club… live on YouTube! As we revealed last week, the academy looks fantastic for the future of youth football and we can’t wait to see it.
