We know many of you have been closely monitoring the stars from the recent FIFA U-17 World Cup and one of them is Lucas Piazon, Chelsea’s new talented winger and Kaka’s 17-year-old younger “twin” from another dad (and possibly One Direction’s sixth band member). He has been training for a month to prepare for his January move to the London side and even has friends in Cambridge! The girls outside our headquarters can be heard screaming their heads off now, so enjoy this interview Lucas did with our cool amigos at SambaFoot!
“I don’t think [Kaka and I are similar]. My style and his style are different because I am a winger, or a second-striker, and he is a central midfielder .I don’t think the comparison is because of our style. I think it is because we both played at São Paulo and maybe we can look similar on the pitch sometimes.”
“Here (in UK), every player is expected to defend. In Brazil, we just play with the ball [if we are] in midfield and in attack. “At the beginning, this was my big problem here. I need to practice a lot and then, I think in one year, or eighteen months, I will be ready to play in the Premier League.”
