Blind Items Monday : Guess The Footballer Hunting Pair & Serial Stalker-Magnet

Ah, welcome back to our weekly Monday Blind Items! In favour of Trick or Treat week (Halloween!), our sources are throwing in some easy (or tough) football puzzles. Remember, the first names that come to your minds may not be the right ones. Good luck! (PS : We can provide really obvious pointers, but as with all other Blind Items, we are unable to confirm the names.)

• This footballer has been known to be in the headlines for the wrong reasons, but surprise, surprise, it has nothing to do with discipline. Instead, our footballer has been deliberately getting into trouble lately to force his way out of the club because his family had been receiving threats in the form of letters and phone calls. The source? A woman whom the married footballer had a brief fling with when his family was not around. Things have gotten so bad that the poor woman has sent letters addressed to the footballer’s wife, with graphic pictures detailing their past exploits. Vulgar! An insider says that the footballer has not spoken to the police for fear of the issue leaking out to the press (well it has!) and does not want his mother – whom he fears deeply back home – to find out. He is now looking for a quick solution to the problem – to relocate and ply his trade elsewhere. Hint : Not the Serie A!

   

• They were both best of friends at the club they were playing in and nearly (often) ‘isolated’ their other teammates because they were so close. Unfortunately, their friendship was recently affected when one of our footballers left the club – for brighter shores (?) perhaps. Now the problem is these two were known as ‘Serial Game Hunters’ in their city’s nightlife scene, receiving clear VIP-status wherever they went, and nearly often had girls clamouring for them. This said player even caused his friend to end his long-term relationship with his girlfriend after covering up his exploits with a cocktail waitress. Tragic! Now, they both ‘hunt’ alone in their respective cities, and one of them is extremely at a ‘loss’ at what to do. So much so that he messages his greatly missed best friend – from far away – to ask for tips! Pathetic, no?
