This probably has to be one of the worst excursions ever excuted in football history – seriously. There have been some potential bombers preceding this – German football team visiting the zoo, Spanish national team climbing boats, Dutch Oranje heading to Brazil’s Copacabana beach in their trainers and more recently, Real Madrid going go-karting. Quite frankly, tipos, who doesn’t want to see Wayne Rooney jump off a helicopter and land on a cliff in spandex? You’d kill for that!
Anyway, for some reason (and by that we mean ‘commercial duties, bitches!’), the entire Atletico Madrid squad was dragged by their collars to visit the Coca Cola factory in Madrid. It’s the last drink in the world that footballers are allowed to touch (even red wine’s better!) so they all looked bored and zoned out (here’s looking at you, Falcao!) – except for the always amiable Diego. Then it was finally time to go home and take the final photos! “Poooor fin, pensé que iba a morir aqui!” would’ve been an EPIC quote.
