Some weeks ago, we mentioned about Barcelona’s fight to end polio with the Bill & Melissa Gates Foundation in the USA. Well, it’s certainly a great cause and in honour of World Polio Day yesterday, the club unveiled a video (which may be a little cheesy, but to the point) describing their mission in greater detail! You’ll also get to see some of their cool fans from overseas – which is awesome.
Your eyes, quite literally, are not deceiving you in this picture… It’s AC Milan’s Gangsta Gattuso is looking a little loss for, er, words. He emerged at a press conference last weekend wearing glasses specially-commissioned by Milan’s doctors to combat “optical cranial nerve palsy”, which is estimated to last for the next 45 days!
Apparently, one of the symptoms of that condition is double vision. Now now, that, won’t be too helpful on the pitch or training ground! One Ibrahimovic to mark is bad enough… imagine having to deal with two? Gattuso even admitted to triple vision, which is a nightmare for all defenders.
“I have a nerve problem in my left eye. The doctors have reassured me and put me one second Tuesday botulinum toxin injection,” he said.
