LA LIGA LUNES : The Verdict On Real Madrid’s Noon Experiment & Cesc Fabregas’ Fallen Boots

The verdict is out… UN GRAN SÍ!! More La Liga matches should kick off at noon (sudden death to your Saturday night hangovers) simply because the natural lighting at the stadiums are amazing. Madrid looked like they were playing out their FIFA 12 characters in real time at the Bernabeu yesterday. If they want to enhance their ‘Fancy Gold Pants Royalty‘ image (uh-uh), noon is the way to go!

Luckily, none of the Los Blancos suffered a case of the dreaded Morning Pillow Look (which honestly happens a lot more at training) and the goals just kept coming. Playing the match at noon was part of Florentino Perez’s master plan to break into the Asian market (Barca are already sinking their claws into this one) and winning 7-1 with Ronaldo hat-trick was the perfect solution. Your favourite Portuguese Papa is already the poster boy of cheesy shampoo ads and sweet drinks in Asia and all that they’re lacking is a moving empañado truck! Here’s Nuri Sahin talking about his debut for the club yesterday …

Ahhh, tan cerca! Cesc Fabregas’ fallen boot above is an indication of just how intense the Bilbao-Barca match turned out last night at the San Mames stadium! Llorente’s Lions showed some serious fighting spirit, holding the Catalans to a 2-2 draw all the way to the end. Barca needed the Messiah to rescue them in the 90th minute with an equaliser and Cesc played well to ensure the match turned out to be excruciatingly CLOSE! As if to add to the drama, it started raining. ..

Fabregas : “We knew how difficult it was to play in San Mamés, with a team like Athletic and a good coach like Bielsa. The last two goals came from defensive errors but it is clear that we (drew from our characters) to level the match.”
