Sylvie van der Vaart is fabulous isn’t she? Sure, her husband isn’t exactly in the English media’s good books but as his homies would say, “het Nederlandse volk van je houden, Rafael!” (“The Dutchies still love you, Raf!”). He still deserves an incredible amount of respect for the way he stood by Sylvie when she was suffering from breast cancer. It takes a real man to do that!
Anyway, the point of this is to show you Sylvie’s wardrobe containing some of her gorgeous shoes and clothes. She admitted that her husband hates trends and that it’s not sexy for women to wear “clothes or jeans that are too tight.”
“Rafael finds 70s’ pants terrible. We didn’t see each other for 3 weeks because he was in a training camp. I was in (sic) trousers, a green silk blouse and a purple Versace bag. He looked at me and said, “Honey, we’ve not seen each other for so long, and now you wear such an unsexy pair of pants.” – Sylvie van der Vaart
You’re looking at Cristiano Ronaldo’s beaming family at his ‘Golden Boot’ award ceremony last week. We told you that the Madrid ace is currently planning his wedding to Irina Shayk next year and the Russian model was also present at this event, which is a milestone! Ronaldo doesn’t invite chicas to his events unless they’re special (insert list of former novias here) and approved by his mother. And you know Irina has won him over (much to many girls’ chagrin… come on, you DON’T want to take care of that grease pot for eternity!) because she’s the first one to get V-VIP status at the Bernabeu and attend Ronaldo Jr’s baptism.
Cristiano also made sure to thank his “family and girlfriend” for the award he received next to Madrid’s legendary player, Di Stefano. Here he is flashing a cheeky grin… something along the lines of : “Let’s go scuba diving in the pond later, Irina!”
And here’s old Barca favourite and current New York Red Bulls player, Rafa Marquez at an event with his wife, Jaydy Michel over the weekend! You know Rafa, everybody loves Rafa, even if he has the tendency to shout at you for under-achieving. Actually, he needs to come back to Europe pronto…
The defender and Jaydy attended the city’s traditional Casita María gala event, held to celebrate and commemorate the hispanic population in the United States.

Lastly, we know Mario Douchie Balotelli has effectively owned this Wednesday column, but he can’t stop himself from making the cut! It’s trashy as hell, but it’s hard to leave this one out especially since the Italian sports guys are equally obsessed with it. Anyway, Balotelli’s girlfriend, Raffaella Fico has admitted to Gazetta dello Sport that she has forgiven him for going out with another girl last week (?!!) and their relationship is like a “roller-coaster ride of ups and downs”. So che voglia di piangere! (I know you want to cry)
Rafaella also said added her first date with the Man City striker was especially memorable because they went to the amusement park and ate burger and chips. Obviously she was forced to go on the merry-go-round ride with him because of the number of mirrors on its ceiling.
“We talked constantly on the phone three weeks before he invited me to the carnival and once we reached there, we went on a roller coaster and ate potato chips, popcorn and burgers.“
