This week is a relatively long question/answer on about a grieving ex-girlfriend (poor girl!) who is finding hard to find closure.

The ex-girlfriend of this top-flight footballer – we’ll call her Miss X – is in a mess. Why? It’s simple really – she was dumped for a woman her man had only theoretically ‘dreamt about being with’. Miss X was with our footballer for a few months and enjoyed a meaningful relationship with the star, going on luxurious summer holidays with his teammates and enjoying the best life had to offer (top wines, yacht vacations, the works!) She now spends her time sitting in the outer deck of the city’s top nightclubs on Fridays, smoking, drinking and telling friends or passers-by who recognize her about the story. “The moment he found out the woman was no longer in a relationship, he dumped me as if what we had didn’t matter at all,” she told our source, shrugging sadly, before heading to the bar to order another drink.
Of course, the saddest part wasn’t just the fact that our footballer dumped her without warning. It was the fact that he had been talking about his new woman a lot – just in a completely different way. “He ‘loved’ this woman, but in the way most guys fantasize about being with women they can’t get. Well, for me it’s like a slap on the face now that it has happened,” added Miss X. Chin up, sistuh!!
