A funny story has emerged today concerning Real Madrid’s failed bid for Neymar. As you may know, Santos extended the striker’s contract until 2014 which ends all speculation surrounding his future. But Santos’ president, Luis Álvaro de Oliveira is so annoyed by Real Madrid’s apparent ‘arrogance’ that he hasn’t stopped poking fun of them since last week.
“As soon as he reaches Madrid, Mourinho will require him to get a haircut, while here (Santos) he will be able to do whatever he wants,” he said, adding that Madrid’s strict ‘colonial background’ meant doing business was them was an unpleasant process.
“When I called to inform both teams that Neymar was staying, Rosell was very friendly but Florentino was angry and the conversation lasted less than a minute.”
