FELIZ terça-feira! Brazil defeated Egypt 2-0 last night and Jonas netted in both goals for Mano’s men (“quão legaaal” for the Valenciano!) By all accounts, the selecao were expected to win this match anyway and despite all his attempts, Hulk wasn’t able to score from any of his best chances upfront. By the way, dying your hair from blonde to black has that effect- your new hair colour always needs time to settle in!
Also, it is clear that David Luiz has finally found a reason to be serious : The National Anthem! Many of you have enjoyed his overall wackiness and enthusiasm during the past Selecao Bootcamp, and he certainly is doing it better than Robinho, who hasn’t really been missed at all. We were also informed last night that a local journalist asked Menezes (with a straight face) why he hadn’t picked ‘Ronaldo, Rivaldo or Ronaldinho‘ in his team. Criiiiinge! You’re close to a decade late, mister!
Lastly, as you can tell from the photos above, the Selecao were asked to vote for their ‘Best Player in the Brasileirao’ of 2011 at the breakfast table (Groaaans all around because they couldn’t vote for themselves!) David Luiz and Fabio weren’t really sure if they wanted to vote for Neymar, Neymar’s Hair or Neymar’s Boxer shorts, so they picked all three. Thiago Silva decided the Boxers had to be placed at the top of the list! Of course, we’re only kidding..
If it isn’t Neymar who will pick up the award, who else will it be? Well, let’s just ask Dani Alves…”quem você votaria?”
