Club World Cup : Santos Loves Toyota City & Don’t Underestimate Espérance de Tunis!

The FIFA Club World Cup kicks off in Japan next month (*groaaaans* all around from our overworked footballers!) and already, everyone is expecting a final between Santos and Barcelona. How rude to ignore the other teams! Did you not know that the ball is round, and the probability of Dani Alves being worn out from running down the flanks is at an all time high? Jajaja..

“Everyone is expecting to see a final between Santos and Barcelona but maybe they can watch a final between Esperance de Tunis (African continent) and Santos (South America) instead!” – Esperance’s president, Riadh Bennour.

Al-Sadd Club, Auckland City FC, Club de Futbol Monterrey and the undecided J-League Champions are the other teams involved in this tournament. Hopefully, these lovely Santos ladies decide to turn up… POR FAVOR TIAS!

Santos’ director of football Pedro Luiz Nunes Conceicao added : “We are very happy to play in Toyota, where we have the biggest community of Brazilians. With them and the 5,000 we are expecting to make the journey from Brazil, we will have excellent support. We think it’s going to be a great tournament. The draw was ok for us but we don’t think is going to be easy to reach the final, although we remain focused on that objective.”
