What’s going on here, Arjen Robben… alles OK? Well, it’s only a minor problem that happens when your eyes refuse to OPEN and you don’t know what on Earth you’re doing at the training ground at 7 in the morning. Since many of you are filled with absolute distaste for Mr. Robben, you’d probably not help him with this bib problem. Well, no one did at Bayern yesterday – how tragic!
The Bavarian side is due to face Villarreal tonight and although they’ve already qualified, we hope the Yellow Submarines can still get a point from this for pride’s sake. Bayern should field a team made up of tiger mascots. That’d be fantastic…. danke!
In second place of Group A are Man City, and naturally, Kun Aguero was chosen to speak to the press, just in case your best friends – the Italian media – planned to ask potentially embarrassing father-in-law type questions (“Kun, living with Maradona, does he still talk about his time at Napoli affectionately while spreading nutella and baking in the kitchen?”) Quit it!
“I’m just going to try to have fun. Of course Maradona did great here, but I’m just going to try and give my best tomorrow.” – Kun (that’s not an option, Kun!)
Meanwhile, Uruguayan Cavani – who’d do rather well as a tribal hero in a movie, reiterated his love for Napoli, saying he doesn’t care if someone decides to swing a bag of cash because club loyalty is important. That’s right – hard to find a ‘baller like Cavani these days! Ironically, we’re juxtaposing this quote with a picture of him and Mario Balotelli….
