Every Friday seems to be “World Club Cup” Friday here, but believe us… it’s purely coincidental! Neymar, Elano and the rest of the Santos clan joined Brazil’s Japanese consul general and his cute kimono-wearing wife Eiko Obe, during a “farewell party” at their residences in Sao Paulo on Wednesday. It was similar to a ‘formal send-off’ to the World Club Cup, which kicks off in two weeks in Toyota City. Oh, and believe us when we say the Japanese organise some of the coolest farewell parties!
Also, Neymar has revealed that Santos are trying to find a way to stop the footballing machine we all know as Leo Messi, should Santos take on Barcelona (God, what a game!) later in the tournament.
“I’ve already said that Messi is the best [in the world], and that stopping him is very difficult. I don’t know how but we are studying really hard for a way for someone to, at the very least, manage to give him a push to slow him down!”
