All across the Serie A, ’tis the season! The holiday season is in full swing – and throughout the Italian peninsula, Serie A clubs have indulged in some very special celebrations. Here’s a random sampling of all the Christmas cheer.
The Napoli boys participated in a rather interesting photo shoot, the product of which will serve as next year’s annual calendar. As seen in the video of backstage footage below, for this year’s calendar, the Azzurri apparently went with something a little different and dressed up as various works of art. If you fancy this particular form of artwork hanging on your wall, you can secure a copy for yourself via the club’s official webstore. It may also make a special stocking stuffer for the calcio-obsessed …
Of course, Napoli’s not the only club getting into the Christmas spirit. The ever-gorgeous Giallorossi hosted their annual Christmas party at Rome’s MAXXI Museum, more formerly known as the National Museum of 21st Century Arts. Capitano Totti turned up looking dapper and dashing as always, as did the rest of the team:

Not to be outdone, Milan held their Christmas party last night in the regal surroundings of the Royal Pavilion in Milan’s Central Station. This location was chosen for a special reason: tonight , the Caritas Refuge will open on the premises. The Refuge will serve as a night-time hostel for the homeless of Milan, with the aim of offering not only a roof for the night, but also the chance for a new start. The Milan Foundation contributed financially to this project, and the club has offered its fans an opportunity to spread Christmas cheer in their own way: fans can contribute by purchasing a special Christmas cake (for three euros) at the match between Milan and Siena on Saturday, the proceeds of which will be donated to the Milan Foundation. The club also had another reason to celebrate, apart from Christmas: the party took place on the eve of the club’s 112th anniversary! Tanti auguri, Milan!
Juventus also took the opportunity to extend the season’s wishes to their supporters. If ever you’ve wanted to hear that Christmas classic, “Jingle Bells”, sung in heavily accented English by Italian footballers sporting Santa hats, look no further:
Happy holidays!
