Welcome to Offbeat Wednesday… our weekly special! In the jovial spirit of the week, let’s start with Alvaro Negredo’s wedding which took place on Christmas Eve. The Sevilla striker married the mother of Aitana, his ten-month old daughter in his hometown. The bride’s name is Clara García Tapia and she chose to wear a strapless dress and a shawl – no extravagance here, folks! Among the futbolitos in attendance were Sergio Ramos, who formerly played for Sevilla before joining the Madridistas.
Unfortunately, the couple intends to postpone their honeymoon (in summer, e claro!) because Sevilla will face Valencia in the Copa del Ray on January 3.
Don’t ask what’s with Brazilian footballers and nightclubs, but it’s a fact that they go hand in hand. An exception to the rule, once again, is Kaka.
Anyway, Barcelona ace Dani Alves was seen in Rio recently and the Brazilian gossip column immediately linked him to Carol Macedo, a singer/dancer type! The player has been separated from his wife for three months and has had to deny any relation with her. The problem happens when you step into a nightclub and the cameras start flashing. Neymar knows this, for sure!
O que é isso?! It’s Cristiano Ronaldo enjoying his holidays in the Maldives. Ah, to be extremely rich and free to do what you want – that’s the life, isn’t it? And who cares if the shorts are a little tight and have a tinge of Spanish stripes on them? Actually, you know you do!
Ronaldo is taking a breather before the season starts in January – and one thing he’s definitely thinking about is the Ballon d’Or. Except he’s up against the Messiah. Such heavy thoughts for the holidays, no? Irina Shayk needs to lend a hand here!
