This photo of the Moc Moc trio is clearly missing Puyol- except Cesc Fabregas and Gerard Pique are making a different type of toast that doesn’t involve their Mop Haired amic! They’re both celebrating their reunion and return from the Premier League to Barcelona. As proud products of La Masia, they’re probably the cause of a lot of excitement among the parents of Barca’s current crop of youth players.

Bastian Schweinsteiger has been spending his recuperation days attending basketball matches, enjoying long walks along the beach and watching movies. But thankfully, the German international who suffered a horrific shoulder injury in October will be available for selection in a few weeks! No more sobbing by the television or killing the neighbours with horrible renditions of Guitar Hero. Bayern fans … freuen! (rejoice!)
Schweini recently spoke up about the comparisons Bayern coach Jupp Heynckes made of him and the likes of Xaviniesta. Basically, he says that his tall stature means that he can’t work around markers as easily as the petite maestros, but he has found a solution for that…. advice that perhaps Per Mertesacker would find useful!
“They’re both terrific players, no question about that. But I regard myself as a little bit different, especially in physical terms. I do win a few balls in the air, simply due to my physical stature. And I also come up with different solutions compared to them. But obviously I know what Jupp is trying to say.” – Schweini
