It’s not everyday that you get to see Lionel Messi crying – but Barcelona’s official photographer Miguel Ruiz managed to capture this image of the Argentinean maestro during a private moment in the dressing room. This was snapped after Barcelona’s defeat to Real Madrid in the 2011 Copa del Ray final, where some ugly scenes took place on the pitch. Copa del Ray action kicked off last night, and who better to get into the heart of the action than the Pied Piper of Higuain?! d Interestingly, Madrid had to fight back to defeat Malaga after they were leading 2-0 in the first half. But of course, Mourinho figured out something pronto and pretty soon, Khedira, Higuain and Benzema all got onto the score sheet.
The always friendly Ruud van Nistelrooy, whom we’re pretty sure wanted to prove himself to his former employees, expressed his disappointment after the game. Now now, there’s always another time for Malaga…vamos a ser optimistas!
