It’s Milan Derby weekend and if you’re all like “Snoozefest time!”… STEP ASIDE, per favore! It’s not about the derby but rather the culture surrounding it. All the Uncle Giovannis who are preparing their premium Neapolitan pasta sauces at this very moment will only serve it at 8pm tomorrow because that’s how the Italianos roll!

Milan will be without Gattuso and Aquilani for this game (they will probably join Dolce & Gabbana in the stands of the San Siro!) while Inter are thrilled to welcome back Wesley Sneijder from injury.
We’re expecting IbrahimoDouche to be on fire because he loves getting worked up all for the purpose of scoring afterwards. Meanwhile, Claudio Ranieri may revert back to the 4-4-2 format to accommodate Sneijder’s return to the squad and we have an inkling that the Dutchman will score too.

On the subject of rivalries, Carlos Tevez is apparently no longer of interest to AC Milan after Pato declared last night he was staying at the club. Mio dio… that’s like dropping your rebound piece after your ex-boyfriend or girlfriend comes crawling back! Instead, Inter are said to be stepping up their bid to buy the Argentinean from Man City. Ugggh, doesn’t anybody in Italy know what they’re getting themselves into with Troubled Tevez? ‘The Guardian‘ sums the entire Sherlock Homes saga perfectly well here :
“Leonardo, the ex-Milan director of football at PSG, pines for his old protégé Pato, who is romantically involved with Berlusconi’s daughter, Barbara, who happens to work with Galliani, who was in England trying to nail the deal for the striker he covets in Tevez, who had a tiff with Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini, whose ex-boss at Inter was also keen to catch the attention of Tevez…”
Iker Casillas has suggested that the El Clasico may be losing its appeal at an event in Madrid, where he was asked about the upcoming Copa del Ray clash between Barcelona and Real. “Just a little is enough and too much gets tiring,” he admitted. Iker speaks the truth – there’s only so much we can do to get you excited about the next 1,021,321 Clasicos!
Last but not least, the subject of grandpa’s Welsh pride – Gareth Bale – has revealed his diet to all those of you who are interested.. (be polite now!) We’re only posting this because ya’ll know Spurs are the team to beat this weekend and United’s hombres know that they can’t afford a slip up. NO more backyard barbeques, Anderson… it’s time to learn from Mr. Bale!
“I have to make sure my muscles are prepared correctly. To do this, I have to make sure I eat the right foods. Before games you eat more carbohydrates like pasta and potatoes for energy, while after games it’s important to eat protein such as chicken for recovery. It’s a balance that you have to get right.” – Gareth Bale
