It’s hard to take Pele seriously these days with the quality of stories he’s been sharing with the children at your local playground. The Brazilian legend who hates Maradona and would never give him a “lift on a rainy day” (thankfully Kun’s got that problem sorted) has attempted to go back on the “Cuando Messi” saga. Oh meu querido Deuuus, give it a rest! (funny enough, we all can’t!)
“I have a lot of respect for Messi, just like I had for Cruyff, Beckenbauer, Platini. But ultimately there will never be another Pele. I was born for football like Beethoven was for music and Michelangelo was for painting.” – Pele.
So now he’s Michelangelo? What next - James Bond?
