SERIE A SISTA : Ibrahimovic ‘Slapped’ With Three-Match Ban, AS Roma’s De Rossi Says ‘No!’ To Anzhi

Juventus will be facing Milan tomorrow in the Coppa Italia and unfortunately for both teams, they will not be getting a taste of the Ibrahimedic. He slapped (or rather ‘nudged’) Napoli’s Salvatore Aronica in the face on Sunday – something you shouldn’t be surprised about, given Ibra’s track record – and is expected to serve a three-match ban.

This morning, Milan said they would be appealing the referee’s decision. In all honesty… the only thing Galliani and co’ should be appealing is the word ‘slap’ because it looks more like a knuckle nudge. Now now, that isn’t a tender, loving gesture isn’t it, Ibrahimovic?

Meanwhile “The Big Nose De Rossi, not the one with the small nose at Villarreal” (as described candidly by our Roma futbolita, Marina) has announced a contract extension at AS Roma! Yet another footballer has turned down a big-money move to Russian side Anzhi despite the temptation that came along with it… bravo!

“I’m really happy here, I’ve taken the decision that I have always wanted. At one stage I didn’t feel loved on a professional level. I wasn’t seen as a strong player and I was also responsible for that. I need to stay here if I am wanted, especially in my home. There was also a moment when I was attracted by the idea of seeing myself on a new stage and playing against the best for the most important trophies.” – Rossi.

The Italians tend to love their clubs eternally, so it’s no surprise that De Rossi chose to pen a five-year extension which takes him through to 2017, with an annual gross salary of 10 million euros with 5m in bonuses and no buy-out clause.
