It’s now officially four crucial months to the Euro 2012 and following Fabio Capello’s resignation last night, England has no manager to lead them to glory! That’s exactly what Jack Wilshere groaned about (“Euro’s is just around the corner and we have no manager?!?“) as did Wayne Rooney, who insisted that an Englishman deserves the job, more specifically, Harry Redknapp. Now is the time for every coach in the country to make themselves known by :
a) sending spies to the FA headquarters
b) intensely name dropping and guerrilla marketing in the Man City dressing room
c) taking Gareth Southgate out to branch at the Ritz.
Still, Fabio Capello’s record for England cannot be taken away from him. His 67 percent success rate (compared to Alf Ramsey’s 61%) will be remembered in the nation’s football history. Capello once yelled at Ronaldo Lima : “Aren’t you ashamed of being so fat?!*” at Real Madrid but surely, the Brazilian will not be the last to receive that sort of treatment.
Meanwhile, here’s a rather queer-looking Sami Khedira on the cover of GQ Magazine with his girlfriend, the winner of ‘Germany’s Next Top Model’, Lena Gercke! Ok, we’re just kidding, Sami is clearly trying very hard to channel his inner Bond/Casanova on the cover but there’s just something about it that doesn’t seem right! What is it?
