Oh dear, it looks like Wayne Rooney has gone and done the unthinkable… by declaring that he wants to win Euro 2012! Congratulations Wayne, you’ve now placed a heavy load on the shoulders of the England blokes who WILL actually play in the opening two group fixtures of the tournament against Sweden and France. No pressure there, Wayne, especially since you’ll be at home doing some Euro 2012 betting of your own!
Everybody knows that the group stages are crucial – there’s no point rattling on about coming to play in the third match and beyond if you can’t get the full six points! Now it’s off to Stuart Pearce‘s backyard to look for that dartboard with his face on it…
