
As shown on Spanish television program ‘Punto Pelota’, Barcelona star and new father Leo Messi apparently stuffed a baby pacifier in one of his stockings as part of a “planned goal dedication” to his son, Thiago, against Celta Vigo at the weekend. Unfortunately, we all know how that ended – Messi didn’t actually score in the 3-1 win (unbelievable!) – and instead, the goals came from Adriano, David Villa and Jordi Alba. How dare they not allow him the chance to take out the pacifier and yell, “mi ninoooo”?!
Regardless, look out for a million HD-cameras all focused on Messi’s socks as he plans a possible hat-trick against Celtic in the Champions League tomorrow. Speaking of which, here’s a photo of the squad arriving at Glasgow airport today and of course, the airport staff clamoured for a shot with Mascherano and Pique!
