United-Liverpool : And The Van Persie Bus Comes Marching In!

If there was going to be a man to score against Liverpool yesterday, surely it would’ve been December’s Player of the Month! Robin van Persie struck again in classic style (bottom right, with a “Bam!”) – and dedicated a goal to his late, favourite grandpa – in United’s 2-1 win over the Reds last night. Now here’s a classic case of ‘How To Not Hate‘ (to the Gooners in particular) – You can’t really blame a goal-scorer for doing his job well, can you?

Patrice Evra – scorer and the second goal – and Rafael da Silva were particularly impressive throughout the game. We haven’t been the biggest endorsers of Rafael ever since his dismal performance for Brazil at the Olympics, but at least he’s picking up pace and learning from his mistakes. Meanwhile, Liverpool’s Daniel Agger deserves accolade for his performance, because quite honestly, his teammates – in particular Joe Allen – shouldn’t even have started the game. (“Ouch!!”)
