The Pride of Portugal and Madeira, Cristiano Ronaldo, finally unveiled his own museum in Funchal, Portugal, last night. The museum displays 150 of the player’s trophies and awards, including numerous trophies, sweatshirts, pennants and photographs in the gallery which has marked his extraordinary career. PARABENS, all round the table!

It was a family affair as the attacker’s son, Cristiano Junior, stole the show as he helped to unveil the plaque at the entrance of his father’s museum, while being held by the Madeira island regional government president, Alberto Joao Jardim.

Ronaldo’s fabulous girlfriend, Irina Shayk (seen above) also attended the event and made her mark by planting a kiss on the Clark Kent, eyebrow-groomed wax version of her beau! She later changed into a white dress and appeared in official photographs handed out by Ronaldo’s team.

Interestingly, this wax figure is Ronaldo’s fourth sculpture, after he was also immortalized at Madame Tussaud’s in London and wax museums in New York and Madrid.

Enjoy the photos of the man who may – or may not – turn up at the Ballon d’Or? Who knows, he may be hanging out at his own museum instead of making the trip to Switzerland.

Indeed, one lesson we can all learn from Ronaldo is the fact that if it doesn’t matter if everybody else doesn’t think you’re good enough – your family and loved ones still think you’re awesome!
