Photos : Arsenal’s Christmas Fancy Dress Party Rocks The House – Who Came As Rambo And Superman?

They may have missed out on Halloween this year, but with Christmas around the corner, there’s no better time to put on the fancy dress costumes!

Just ask the Arsenal first team players, who partied in the best way footballers would – dressing up in fancy costumes for the club’s Christmas party.

And to add to the festive mood, the players chose to jazz it up on the top of double-decker bus, which arrived at their nightspot destination in the central part of London.

While other clubs chose to make their annual Christmas dinners strictly black-tie events, Arsene Wenger’s men proved that they were in it for the laughs.

German ace Mesut Ozil dressed for the occasion as Superman while his Spanish teammates Santi Cazorla and Mikel Arteta arrived as Super Mario and Zorro respectively.

Lukas Podolski arrived as The Hulk, while his teammate and club captain Per Mertesacker went as Captain Jack Sparrow from Pirates of the Caribbean.

Meanwhile, the club’s Polish goalkeeper and resident ‘clown’, Wojciech Szczesny, went as Robocop, while Jack Wilshere – who was slapped with a two match ban for his conduct against Man City – dressed as Batman. His teammate and ‘partner-in-crime’, Lukasz Fabianski, opted for Robin.

More bizarrely, England internationals Theo Walcott and Kieron Gibbs, opted to come as Bananas in Pyjamas, and kept fans and onlookers busy guessing their identities as they tried to enter the club.

Full back Nacho Monreal dressed as a Ninja Turtle, with Japanese youngster Ryo Miyaichi trussed up as Fred Flintstone. And of course, the ace of the moment, Aaron Ramsey, came as Rambo!
