Welcome to Offbeat Wednesday, your gossip special. This week, The WAGS will be in full force at the World Cup in Brazil, Milan’s Mario Balotelli reunites withFanny Neguesha, Buffon joins Pirlo to move out of family home and Messi celebrates Antonella’s birthday!

Lionel Messi’s partner, Antonella Roccuzzo, celebrated her 26th birthday yesterday. Of course the football superstar posted up the photo of the couple above along with the message : “Feliz cumpleaos amor !!! Te amo/Happy birthday my darling!!! l love you!!”

Roccuzzo, who has been with the Barca superstar since 2009, gave birth to the couple’s first son on November 2, 2012. A native of Rosario, their families have been friends for a long time. The striker proclaimed : “Today I am the happiest man in the world, my son was born and thanks to God for this gift!”

The stormy relationship between AC Milan’s controversial striker Mario Balotelli and Belgian model, Fanny Neguesha, has been a tabloid favourite throughout 2013. It’s a classic tale of the Bad Boy chronicles, where recklessness and madness reign supreme!

Anyway, after they separated last December, the couple have apparently reunited with Neguesha proclaiming her love for the player on social networks. This, in spite of the fact that Balotelli had been forced to acknowledge the paternity of the daughter he had with his ex-girlfriend, Rafaella Fico.

Fico, 23, wrote that Balotelli was her “better half and no one in front or behind us.” Later, in a photo showing the player switching from a Ferrari to Lamborghini and Audi, he explained that he was “with my accomplice in the crime scene” after a night out.

Football’s very own Bonny and Clyde, anyone?! The folks at BetBright soccer page would be willing to bet on it!

Consider yourselves warned – The England WAGS will be a full force at this year’s World Cup in Brazil!

Termed the British ‘WAG’ army, Coleen Rooney is all set to lead the group that will cheer on her hubby’s team in the 2014 World Cup.

According to the Daily Star, Coleen when asked about her summer plans has revealed that they would be going out to Brazil this year for the World Cup to support ‘Wayne and the England boys’.

Other wags including Steven Gerrard’s wife Alex, Jo Hart’s girlfriend Kimberley Crew, Frank Lampard’s fiancee Christine Bleakley and midfielder Tom Cleverley’s girlfriend Georgina Dorsett are all set to cheer the Three Lions’ bid for glory.

You may recall that the WAGS were banned continuously for six years after their drunken antics following England’s loss in the quarterfinals at Baden-Baden, Germany, which had left supporters seething at the girls, the report added.

England boss Roy Hodgson reportedly welcomed the WAGS back in Euro 2012 and is again expected to allow the wags to come to Brazil.

However, players and WAGS would be under 24-hour armed security to protect them from gangsters and kidnappers, the report added.

Italy’s legendary goalkeeper, Gianluigi Buffon, who was recently involved in an extra-marital affair with TV presenter, Ilaria D’ Amico, has moved out of his family home. This follows Andrea Pirlo’s story a few weeks ago, which also saw the Italian midfielder separating from his wife of twelve years.

Buffon’s lawyer, Riccardo Grande Stevens, who lives in Monte Carlo, spoke to the media to confirm that his client had left the family home to live in one of his houses instead.

“He’s had some problems with his family and wanted to leave home for a while. We are also good friends and it was a sin that a house like this (the lawyer’s home) was empty. He can stay here for as long as he wants, even ten years. Friends are above everything, even above women, “said Riccardo.

To complicate things, Riccardo is also the ex-husband of Valentina Baldini, a real estate agent who is now dating Andrea Pirlo in another big Italian scandal (please no more mozzarella, per favore!)

Meanwhile, Buffon’s wife Alena (seen in the photo above) still lives in the family home with the couple’s two sons.
