Ronaldo has saved Real Madrid so many times this season that you wonder would happen if they didn’t have him!

Well, that’s where Gareth Bale comes in, especially with the Welshman’s stellar performances in recent weeks. The duo combined for the first time (in the league) in over a month against Valencia last night, and provided solid counterattacking flair alongside Benzema.

The final score was 2-2, and this means Real are still in the contention for the La Liga title, especially after Atletico’s loss. Check out Ronaldo’s backheel goal!

Earlier, Atletico were beaten for the first time in 15 games in all competitions after falling to a 0-2 loss against Valencia’s own rivals Levante.

However, the match had been overshadowed by further claims of racism after Levante midfielder Pape Diop said he had been the subject of monkey chants from the Atletico fans.

“I went to take a corner and some of the Atletico fans began to make monkey chants. To play it down, I started to dance, but I didn’t insult anyone. I don’t have anything against the Atletico fans because it was only a section that shouted. It is a lack of respect that happens in all stadiums. I don’t know if you can call it racist, but the monkey chanting has to stop.”
