Brazil’s most successful female footballer, Marta, has left Swedish side Tyreso, after the club withdrew participation from the women’s league in June. However, she has chosen to remain in Sweden to link up with Swedish frontrunners Rosengard.
The squad already bolsters an already impressive forward line which includes prolific German striker Anja Mittag, and Swiss ace Ramona Bachmann.
The five-time FIFA Women’s World Player of the Year also played for Umea aside from stints in the USA and Brazil. And here is Marta speaking Swedish at her official press conference… impressive!

The players in the running to be crowned UEFA Best Women’s Player in Europe Award for 2013/14 have also been revealed.
The shortlist of 11 will be reduced to three with Germany goalkeeper Nadine Angerer named as last year’s European winner. The selected players are :
