Man United star Angel di Maria has made an impressive start for his club, but he has not had the time to get acquainted with his new life in the city.
The Argentine winger has been staying at the Lowry Hotel, a fancy five-star location, after sealing the deal on his £60million ($124m) move to Manchester United from Real Madrid.
Man United’s representatives are reportedly sorting out the player’s accommodation and he was also spotted talking to real estate agents in recent weeks to finalize a deal on a home located in an upscale part of Manchester.
If it goes through, the Argentinean will reportedly be neighbours with fellow Argentinean international Sergio Aguero as well as his own club teammates, Wayne Rooney and Robin van Persie.
On Wednesday, Di Maria was spotted getting money out at a local ATM machine before heading off to a supermarket to buy groceries with a friend.
Di Maria, who is paid around £180k ($374k) per week with the Red Devils, reportedly took around five minutes to figure out how to use the ATM machine.
With some translation help from his friend, he was able to withdraw from the bank and the duo later pushed a single trolley into the shop.
Last season, Di Maria scored 13 goals in 55 matches for both Real Madrid and the Argentinean side.
And although the 26-year-old has been impressive form for United in recent weeks, he was unable to lift his team from their current slump, as they lie at 12th place on the table.
United lost 5-3 to Leicester on Sunday, which was dubbed as one of the more embarrassing defeats in their Premier League history.
Chelsea’s Cesc Fabregas has reportedly proposed to his girlfriend, and the mother of his daughter, Daniella Semaan, 38.
The couple were spotted enjoying a meal in London on Sunday night, where they were photographed entering a taxi.
The Lebanese beauty was spotted with a massive diamond ring on her finger, sparking speculation that the former Barcelona player had popped the question.
This comes after the Spanish press reported the couple had been seen shopping for engagement rings in the city.
Semaan, who is 12 years-older than Fabregas, has two children with her ex-husband, businessman Elie Taktouk.
They got together a few months before the Euro 2012 championships, which Spain won.
Meanwhile, Fabregas been enjoying a successful season with Chelsea since signing a $30 million five-year deal with the club this summer.
