When holding a barbeque outside Barcelona’s training ground, the Mediterranean sunshine always helps!

That’s exactly what Luis Enrique’s side did yesterday, as they enjoyed a traditional team bonding lunch at their training ground and prepared to face Eibar on Saturday evening.

With a rigorous European football calendar, there aren’t often many chances for the squad to hang out with one another leisurely. Yesterday offered the perfect opportunity to do so, and who doesn’t like a bit of Catalan sunshine on the side?!

Luis Enrique’s side are in sizzling form, after thrashing Rayo Vallecano 6-1 at the weekend courtesy of a Lionel Messi hat-trick and brace from Luis Suarez, to storm to the top of La Liga.

Meanwhile, Mario Balotelli flew to Milan on Monday to visit his old friend, Stephan El Shaarawy at his former club. Clearly, after a rough season in Liverpool, he’s missing all the affection of the Milanistas!

The Italian international turned up at their training session to watch the squad prepare for their Serie A match with Fiorentina this Monday, and uploaded a photo to his Instagram with his old friend.

Balotelli wrote “Milan, what a pleasure to see you” as he visited the club he left for £16million to join Liverpool in August.

He has struggled for form at Anfield, having scored just four goals in 24 appearances under Brendan Rodgers.
