Anfield seems to be in a hive of activity this season as Liverpool Club manager, Jürgen Klopp endeavors to return the Reds to Europe’s top table by having the best talent on his side. In the latest Liverpool transfer news, the club is reported to be eyeing Crystal Palace Midfielder, Yohan Cabaye. The 30-year-old Frenchman known for his penalty taking and free kick abilities, has been on top of his game this season but has become unsettled at Crystal Palace according to the Daily Post. Liverpool are said to have put up a £ 15 million offer for the midfielder but Brentwood Gazette claims West Ham United are looking for ways to counter this move.
The Reds are also in hot pursuit for Fenerbahce left back, Caner Erkin according to Daily Express reporter James Gray. In reaction to rumours that the 27-year-old Turkish player had agreed to joining Inter Milan, his agent Batur Altiparmak said that enquiries had been made but no formal offers were made therefore deals are yet to be struck. Erkin is eligible to sign a pre-contract agreement for he will be out of contract at the end of the season.
With current strikers Daniel Sturridge and Christian Benteke being linked with a move away from Anfield, the Reds are said to be making a £9.5 million transfer for River Plate forward Lucas Alario to bolster their forward line. The Argentine forward has netted 10 goals for River Plate in 19 games owing to exceptional moves inside the box and versatility. However, Klopp is not the only one interested in Alario as Palermo, Ajax and Inter Milan are eyeing him. Alario seems to be pleased with Liverpool’s proposal.
Sevilla appear to be in a battle with the Reds for Anderlecht’s attacking midfielder, Dennis Praet who won Belgian Golden Shoe early last year. Liverpool has been on to him since January this year. Liverpool are said to be preparing a £ 22.5 million bid for the 21-year-old.
Bayern Munich’s attacking midfielder, Mario Gotze seems to have his core fixed on moving to Anfield. Gotze’s motivation to Liverpool appears to have been motivated by reuniting with Klopp who had been his manager at Dortmund to revamp his career.
Another target for Liverpool who would be driven by the Klopp factor is Borussia Dortmund striker, -Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang who says that Klopp aided him to make progress. Clubs closing in on him are also Arsenal and Manchester United.
Liverpool, their local rivals Everton and AS Monaco are all targeting Paris Saint Germain defender, Presnel Kimpembe. The 20-year-old French footballer who has appeared to be one of French footballs best defenders is reported to be annoyed by the lack of game time.
