Wedgiellas (who picks and chooses the questions he’d like to answer) has declared that Samuel Eto’o is officially the stuff of nightmares for goalkeepers like himself.

“Frankly, I am glad that Eto’o has gone to Inter Milan (because) he was a nightmare for goalkeepers in Spain,” said Madrid’s #1 goalie.

And yet another indication of Greaseano’s new clique of bitches (note that they’re just an extension of Raul’s idolising group), Wedgie has declared that he approves of the Portuguese. “He is very professional – just look at his physical form. He’s been training very well since his first day with us.”

On a sidenote, we think that Iker’s performances have hinged on dismal as of late and La Furia Roja need to call up Victor Valdes ahora!!!

Adriano aka the Favela and Barbecue King has been wearing jerseys with the numbers 29, 27, 92, 90 and 100 since his return to Flamengo in April. But from today, he’ll finally get to wear the all-important number 9 shirt after an Internet poll was conducted among the club’s fans. Well, he can wear #9 at Flamengo but the prospect of wearing the same shirt under Dunga… impossível!

In other news, Flamengo and Corinthians are slated to play a friendly match in Palestine in September as a peace initiative promoted by the Brazilian government. Well, you know Lula. All he needs to do is to send a Brazilian player to various countries and everything will be solved. Oh, if only it were that easy!

  • Fabregas hints at Gunners exit

FABArsenal captain Cesc Fabregas seems to be linked with a move away from the Emirates every time a new transfer window comes around.  The 22-year-old Spanish international is integral to Arsenal and if he leaves it would be a massive blow to boss Arsene Wenger, who has pretty much shaped his team around the midfield schemer.

This is what Fabregas had to say to British tabloid newspaper the Sun: “The absence of titles at Arsenal is what angers me the most,

“Cristiano (Ronaldo) said he’s leaving Manchester United because he had nothing else to win. For me right now it is the exact opposite, seeing the impotence.

“This year we wanted it, we were giving everything – but we couldn’t reach the level that everyone expected of Arsenal.

“When you win, you’re well. But when you don’t, everyone is in a bad mood. For four years now, we’ve needed a title to regain our belief in ourselves.”

  • Sunday Señor : Robinho

    untitled-2

Robinho inspired Man City to their first away victory (since August last year, mind you) thanks to his goal in the 35th minute and his set-up afterwards. While we think he may be playing for the Witches of Football, that inspirational form has turned him into our Sunday Senor for this week! Enjoy the photos we’ve picked out under the cut.

  • Pippo’s 300th

There was a lot to celebrate after Milan’s 5-1 victory against Siena yesterday. Firstly, Pippo’s 300th goal for the club – a double marked by a hastily-assembled Rossonera jersey (above) - Kaka’s anticipated return from injury, and Pato’s new celebratory heart gesture. Yes, amigo is using all ten fingers now to show his devotion to Silicone Brito! Stick to the original plan, mano!

Going back to the football, our excitement about Senor Kaka’s return was unfortunately short lived. He replaced Ambrosini in the second half and missed an open shot at goal from six yards in the 58th minute. Sadly, he was seen visibly limping off the field a few minutes later to make way for Ronaldinho. It was The Dinho’s crucial pass in the 78th minute that led to Pato’s second goal.

Overall, it’s nice to see Milan scoring again. For now, let’s all forget about Pippo’s list of trophy girlfriends and applaud his fervour!
