So the Selecao Bebes will play in the finals of the U-20 World Cup against Ghana today and we know how excited you are, so they’d better bring home the title! Iremos gritar!
As you can see, they’re all feeling a little sentimental now but if they can’t lose now. It will be a huge blow to everyone.
“It’s a world title that nobody can take away from us. It’s something which we will carry for life. Just look into the eyes of every one here and you’ll see how much everyone wants this victory,” said midfielder Diogo. “It is certainly the most important moment for me in this shirt. It’s a magical moment that touches everyone’s lives,” added Giuliano.
“I’m sure if we show that on the pitch and throw everything we can, it will give a huge step towards the title,” added Rafael, the goalkeeper.

You’re looking at the future of Brasil!! Yes, it’s a fabulous start for the futbolitos from the U-20 seleção when they thrashed Costa Rica 5-0 in their U-20 World Cup opener on Sunday. A brace from Alan Kardec (as expected from este rapaz...) and goals from Giuliano, Alex Teixeira and Boquita were enough for Brasil to outclass their opponents. Honestly, we feel bad for Costa Rica’s goalkeeper. Enjoy the Goal Show!

Come on, it’s not like you’d even notice if we wrote anything here. It’s Gangsta’ Gattuso caught with his corti down! It is an epic day – one that should be celebrated with a sizzling pan of prawn olio.
Anyway, Egypt are proving to be the surprise package in the Confeds with their 1-0 win over the Azzurri yesterday. It was never going to be a threat with the highly ineffective Luca Toni as a replacement for Robin Hood’s second man, Iaquinta.
Paul Newman Lippi has declared that his team needs to beat Brazil or die. “We’ve simply got to win. We will try to take the initiative (to win against Brazil).”
He added : “We weren’t very aggressive. We didn’t play like we had planned at that stage. When Egypt started to play and scored, it all unravelled and we stopped playing. We didn’t go for the ball.”

Awwww! The children standing in front our boys are muito adorável, don’t you think, futbolitas? They all seem lost in the moment. What is that nina on the extreme right (near Lucio) looking at?
Anyway, let’s not divert from the main story – which was the fact that Brazil were completely caught off-guard by the Egyptians in the second half of yesterday’s match. Ok, manos may have won by a really awkward margin (4-3?) but they were pretty unlucky to have allowed the initial 3-1 lead to slip through their fingers. The Egyptians attacked and in all, gave a performance worthy of a draw.
“The Egyptians are very technical and they never stopped. They made us work hard,” admitted Kaka – scorer of the winning penalty – after the game. “What was important was that we won in our debut.”
For the record, that ‘L’ shaped sign he did after the goal was for his son, Luca, who turned 1 a few days ago. Nevertheless, they all must work harder – especially the back four – against USA on Thursday!
