FUTBOLITA’S PHRASEBOOK
CURLY FRIES DA SILVA : There's two of them at United, and only one wants to play for Brazil. Nevertheless, looking at them conjures up memories of MacD fries... we kid you not!
4 hours ago @nkhan2 yeah, it's supposed to be. Unfortunately, many 'ballers still don't speak it !
4 hours ago Both Oezil & Khedira have been asked to learn English or Spanish as "their participation in RM's social activities is effectively zero" LOL

Oooh, looks like we have a case of the Forgotten Homems here at the Milan-Lazio game last night! The Dinho’s son is chomping on a hot cross bun given to him by Uncle Galliani.… Nãooooo, ficar longe!
Anyway, a member of Lazio’s “Ultras” (yes, the hardcore ones) told us last week that it was going to be a difficult match at the San Siro. He also repeatedly chanted “I will be there with my brothers at full force,” and “Lazio is my life” about 91 times in total but that was to be expected! He’ll probably be pleased with Stephan Lichtsteiner’s goal thanks to Milan’s lax defending last night.
And yes, the Italian Stallion, Marco Boriello also scored for Milan in this 1-1 draw. Stai arrossendo? abbastanza! (You’re blushing? stop it!)
Despite Wolverine Piero’s efforts at goal and Uncle Ciro’s new replacement, Juveeee could only manage a draw against Lazio last night. But ascoltare, they’re getting somewhere. The man in the hot seat, Alberto Zaccheroni, is now tasked to pick up Juve from the garage like a battered up Maserati after a 92-hour jungle trek. He’s yet to find the ignition because it’s being blocked by Camoranesi’s hair but you’d better hope he will soon or Diegoooo may never get to see the South African morning sky.
It’s freezing down in Milan (and perhaps in Fiorentina too – where the Rossoneri’s game had to be postponed due to snow.) But of course, a man named Samuel Eto’o scored the only goal for Inter in last night’s game against Lazio. Still, do these guys think they’re in The Notebook or something?
Anyway, of course everybody is talking about Mancini to Man City now (not the useless Brazilian one – it’s Roberto, one of the ‘Uncle Dude’ breeds and Mourinho’s predecessor) And of course, rumours are flying around saying that Inter’s starlet, Balotelli will be following him to the Oil City. However, he’d best look elsewhere because Inter chief Moratti is texting him messages that read “andare a mangiare una rana, Rob” or “go eat a frog”. Ok, not really but Moratti has issued a strict “hands-off Balotelli” warning. This is like Ancelotti-Pato-Chelsea all over again!
In other news, we really need to come up with an award for Best Goal In The Snow or El gol mejor en la nieve!
Look, even David Albelda can’t help himself from smiling for the cameras! And you can’t really blame him, after Los Che battled back from a goal down to win this away match against Athletic Bilbao last night. Goals by Villa and Mathieu cancelled out 16-year-old Iker Munain’s strike (the young striker is a cross between the Pique and Torres breed, in case you were curious and even if you were, shame on you for checking out jailbaits).
Also, Queridos futbolitas, everyone loves The Villa at Valencia, so if all goes as planned, he’s all set to be a One Club man alaRaul The Great One. Ignore the calls from distant lands, tipo! We can’t imagine him elsewhere. The only image in our minds of Villa is the exact same one portrayed in that photo above…. where he’s smiling blissfully in a sea of sunflowers.
Roma winsIl Derby Capitolino
We thought Juventus’s Chiellini was the real Phantom of the Opera, but damn, De Rossi has the moves to pull it off! Anyway, Roma’s fans will definitely be celebrating their victory over their fiercest rivals, Lazio in the city today. Their ultras went berserk again – letting off firecrackers and fighting in the stands, but like the Messiah (below), they all wanted to see the Opera.
Nevermind that – Marco Cassetti’s only goal was enough to secure all 3 points for Totti’s side. Even he couldn’t help himself during the celebrations by taking off his shirt – but Cassetti went one step further by knocking down the advertising billboards. Dude, ti credi di essere cool? (dude, you think you’re cool?!)
Thiago Silva looks a little overwhelmed there, don’t you think? (“So Pirlo, you want a hug too? Ok, let’s widen the circle. Everybody make space”) He scored twice in Milan’s 2-1 win over Lazio yesterday, including an own goal for the visiting team! El Pato scored the other goal – a neat bouncing header that drifted in beautifully.
Anyway, it’s good to see cara doing well because he’s one of those players who nearly didn’t make it in the game – and had to work extra hard. Bom trabalho!
“In the locker room, I was made fun of by the others who said I achieved two goals,” said Silva. “The important thing was to have played well with personality. It’s hard to play against teams like Lazio, who have quality players who (play) well, but in the end we won and this is the most important thing. As for me I am happy to work well, they all speak well of me and I’m happy.”
As we know, the concept of the “12th man” in Italian football is molto importante and Lazio fans certainly demonstrated that when their side beat Sampdoria on penalties last night to win the Coppa Italia.
Uruguayan keeper Fernando Muslera saved efforts from Antonio Cassano and Hugo Campagnaro before Ousmane Dabo scored the decisive spot-kick to give the Romans a place in next season’s Europa League!
“This triumph is mainly dedicated to the fans, but also to everyone who has made many sacrifices to get us to this point,” their coach, Delio Rossi emotionally declared after the game.
“We won this trophy the hard way, on penalties. Having said this though, when you have a great passion for what you do, then you get even greater satisfaction from achieving things like this.”
Claudio Ranieri aka Mrs Doubtfire thinks that the pressure from the Brazilian and Italian press about the issue of ‘nationality’ has not impacted Amauri’s performances on the field.
The Juventus coach said : “This may be something he thinks about (when he’s not playing), but on the field he is always the same. He is having an excellent season and always plays for the team. Amauri is not (distracted). He fought his whole life to be where he is.”
Ironically, Amauri has only scored one goal this year. In the first half of the season, he netted in eleven goals.
Juve’s next game is against Lazio this Sunday and Ranieri is expected to pair Amauri up with Iaquinta (Robin Hood Clone) in attack.
It was a 3-0 win for Milan over Lazio last night which effectively puts us in second place.
Beckham is starting on grow on us – particularly after inspiring two of Milan’s goals by Pato and Ambrosini. The third was a sweet one from Kaka, but you’ve really got to see Beckham’s sleek pass to Pato. Now that’s one hell of a set-up! If he could conjure up more balls like that for our attack, I think he could be indispensable for the Rossoneri (too early to say now). Plus Ancelotti has dramatically come out to say that Milan are already coping well without Ronaldinho.
There was plenty of room for celebration, as you can derive from the photos. Great weekend overall, for Milan!
