So the Selecao Bebes will play in the finals of the U-20 World Cup against Ghana today and we know how excited you are, so they’d better bring home the title! Iremos gritar!

As you can see, they’re all feeling a little sentimental now but if they can’t lose now. It will be a huge blow to everyone.

“It’s a world title that nobody can take away from us. It’s something which we will carry for life. Just look into the eyes of every one here and you’ll see how much everyone wants this victory,” said midfielder Diogo. “It is certainly the most important moment for me in this shirt. It’s a magical moment that touches everyone’s lives,” added Giuliano.

I’m sure if we show that on the pitch and throw everything we can, it will give a huge step towards the title,” added Rafael, the goalkeeper.

You’re looking at the future of Brasil!! Yes, it’s a fabulous start for the futbolitos from the U-20 seleção when they thrashed Costa Rica 5-0 in their U-20 World Cup opener on Sunday. A brace from Alan Kardec (as expected from este rapaz...) and goals from Giuliano, Alex Teixeira and Boquita were enough for Brasil to outclass their opponents. Honestly, we feel bad for Costa Rica’s goalkeeper. Enjoy the Goal Show!

    • Oh Ibracadabra… He who looks ever so eloquent! How strange it must have been for him to return to San Siro. Well at least Julio Cesar was kind about the whole thing. Mano bumped into the Swede – who was his former teammate – in the tunnel before last night’s Champions League showdown. “I saw Zlatan before the match and we joked. He told me he’d score against me and I replied that he wouldn’t. Luckily he didn’t have many chances during the match. He only had one chance during the first half and he shot wide. Just as well for us,” said The Caesar.
    • Former Coritiba and Fluminense coach, René Simões has found a new job!! Looks like Ranieri recommended the right employment agency to him. These guys are efficient! Anyway, Rene has been tasked to take over the Costa Rican national team and “ensure qualification” for South Africa next year. He’s going to need all the help he can get because they currently lie in fourth place behind Honduras, Mexico and the United States.
    • The u-20 World Cup officially kicks off next week and Douglas Costa, Walter and Wellinton Souza are a few of the meninos who will be representing the selecao jovem in Egypt. On the other hand, Spain has Daniel Parejo and Atletico’s keeper, Sergio Asenjo. Unfortunately, Bobojan will miss the tournament through injury.
    • Velez Sarsfield knocked out Boca Juniors in the Copa Sudamericana last night after a superb goal from Jonathan Cristaldo. Tipooo blasted the ball in like there was no tomorrow!! Watch for yourself.
