Born as a 16-team tournament in 1977, the biennial FIFA U-20 World Cup brings together some of the most talented youngsters the world of football has to offer, as they compete to be crowned as world champions of the under-20 age group.

The tournament was set to return to South-East Asia in 2021 for the first time since Malaysia ’97, but the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic postponed Indonesia’s FIFA tournament hosting debut until the summer of 2023.

U-20 World Cup fixtures

Fixtures for the competition will be confirmed following the conclusion of the group stage draw on 31 March.

Qualifiers for Indonesia 2023

Hosts Indonesia are joined by Dominican Republic, England, Fiji, France, Guatemala, Honduras, Israel, Italy, New Zealand, Slovakia and the United States of America as the confirmed qualifiers so far.
